This serves as both a training curriculum and as a reference resource on the topic of allegations of abuse in family foster care. 

 The goals of the Foster Family Survival: Defensive Parenting course are:

  • Offers an overview of the allegations issues
  • Provides a model for more effective fostering
  • Identifies specific areas of allegations exposure
  • Provides skills development for dealing with the allegations
  • Provides training that is free-standing or supplemental to current pre/in-service training for foster families
  • Promotes self-assessment, self-help for foster family care providers

 This class will be held May 4th 2009 at the South Cobb Recreation Center located on Six Flags Drive in Austell, GA.  From 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. EST. Refreshments will be provided.
